Shin Revoltech Review – Is This the Best Shin Action Figure? | Fist of the North Star
✅ Pros
- Excellent Shin character design – The elegant clothing, sharp features and muscular body capture his appearance from Fist of the North Star very well.
- Strong sculpting and detailing – Kaiyodo gave the figure a realistic finish that helps Shin stand out beside Kenshiro and the other Revoltech characters.
- Good articulation – The roughly 14 cm figure has around 14 articulation points, allowing for fighting stances, pointing poses and dramatic Nanto Seiken attacks.
- Interchangeable display options – The additional head and hand parts provide more personality than a simple neutral Shin figure.
- Looks great in a Fist of the North Star collection – Shin is one of Kenshiro’s most important early rivals, so he feels essential beside Kenshiro and Yuria.
❌ Cons
- Older Revoltech articulation – The joints can look exposed or awkward compared with newer action figures.
- Facial expression may divide collectors – The sculpt resembles Shin, but certain angles can make the face look stiff.
- Accessories are fairly basic – You receive enough for posing, but there are no elaborate weapons or large effect pieces.
- Be careful with the joints – Older Revoltech releases can develop loose, stiff or brittle joints, especially when purchased second-hand. Collectors have particularly noted articulation and joint-quality limitations on some early figures.
- The body proportions look slightly dated beside modern Figuarts or Super Action Statue figures.
