S.H.Figuarts Son Goku “A Saiyan Raised on Earth” Pros and Cons
Pros
✅ Classic Goku look
This is the clean, standard orange gi Goku that works for many Dragon Ball displays. Very recognizable and easy to pair with other figures.
✅ Good articulation
The figure can do fighting poses, flying poses, Kamehameha poses, and basic standing poses without much trouble.
✅ Comes with useful accessories
You usually get multiple face plates, hands, and effect/display options depending on the release, so it is good for photos and posing.
✅ Great entry-level Figuarts Goku
For many collectors, this is one of the easiest Goku figures to start with because it represents the main version of the character.
✅ Nice shelf presence
Even if it is not the most premium Goku figure, it still looks good beside Vegeta, Frieza, Piccolo, Gohan, or other Dragon Ball figures.
✅ Good for toy photography
The simple outfit and expressive faces make it easy to create fight scenes or anime-style poses.
Cons
❌ Not the most advanced Goku mold anymore
Newer Figuarts Goku releases may have better joints, better sculpting, or improved articulation.
❌ Paint can feel simple
The colors are clean, but some collectors may find it a bit plain compared to more detailed or battle-damaged figures.
❌ Accessories may feel limited
Depending on what you want, it may not include enough effects, extra heads, or dramatic parts.
❌ Price can be annoying now
Since it has been around for a while, prices can vary a lot depending on seller, stock, and condition.
❌ Small parts are easy to lose
Like most Figuarts, the extra hands and face parts are tiny, so you really need to store them properly.
